THIS ONE´S DEAD AND THST ONE´S ABOUT TO DIE

This film follows the changes in a remote, thousand-year-old Italian village caused by increasingly intrusive tourism. While portraying the artificially created idyll, now populated with the summer homes of wealthy Swiss and Germans, the film shows the austere alternative of dire poverty afflicting the remaining original population. Although the film refrains from trying to be instructive, the viewer is led to reflect upon the effects of real estate speculation in the „poor zones“ of Southern Europe.
