SHATFON

Shatfon is a portait of three women of three different generations in an African Sultan´s harem. The film follows one hundred years of change in women´s roles resulting from the impact of Islam, European cultural influences, and the resulting tensions and contradictions between traditional identity and the life style of today´s bourgeoisie.
